Taiwan's commercial sales growth slowed for a third consecutive month in March, figures from the Ministry of Economic Affairs showed Wednesday.
Sales in trade and food services grew 1.49 percent year-on-year, after a 2.02 percent rise in February, revised from 2.06 percent. Economists had forecast 2.4 percent growth.
The latest growth was the weakest since April last year, when sales rose 0.29 percent.
In March, wholesale trade sales grew 0.29 percent and retail sales rose 4.50 percent. Sales in food beverage services grew 4 percent.
