Poland's unemployment rate fell for a second straight month in March and came in below economists' expectations, figures from the Central Statistics Office showed Thursday.
The registered unemployment rate fell to 13.5 percent in March from 13.9 percent in February. Economists had forecast a jobless figure of 13.6 percent. A year ago, the jobless rate was 14.3 percent.
In February, the figure dropped from January's 14 percent, marking the first fall in six months.
The number of unemployed totaled 2.18 million in March, down from 2.26 million in the previous month. In the same month last year, the figure was 2.31 million.
