The Malaysian ringgit dropped against the U.S. dollar in the Asian on Wednesday.
Against the greenback, the ringgit fell to a 2-day low of 3.2237. At yesterday's close, the ringgit was trading at 3.2137.
If the ringgit extends its downtrend, it is likely to find support around the 3.23 area.
Later today, Malaysia will release unemployment data for April. In March, the jobless rate was 3.0 percent, while the participation rate came in at 66.9 percent.
