The U.S. weekly jobless claims for the week ended June 21 and personal income and spending report for May were released at 8:30 am ET Thursday. After these reports, the greenback weakened against the other major currencies.
The greenback was trading at 1.3607 against the euro, 101.72 against the yen, 0.8936 against the franc and 1.7035 against the pound around 8:33 am ET.
