- We are forecasting another fall in the German Ifo Business Climate Indicator (BCI) in September (09.00 BST). Sentiment is likely to have been dented by the Ukraine crisis and political turmoil in France. But these negative effects may have been partly offset by a boost from the continued depreciation of the euro and September's ECB rate cuts. 
- On balance, we see the BCI dipping to about 105.5. This would mirror the small fall in the ZEW investor sentiment index in September and leave the index consistent with a further, albeit modest, slowdown in annual German GDP growth.
