2015.03.2605:25:00UTC+00Pound Rises Vs Most Majors Ahead Of U.K. Retail Sales Data

At 5:30 am ET Thursday, the Office for National Statistics is set to release U.K. retail sales data for February. Retail sales including auto fuel are forecast to grow 0.4 percent in February from January, when it fell 0.3 percent.

Ahead of the data, the pound traded mixed against its major rivals. While the pound slipped against the franc, it gained against the rest of major currencies.

The pound was worth 1.4956 against the greenback, 177.09 against the yen, 0.7374 against the euro and 1.4219 against the franc as of 5:25 am ET.
