The U.S. factory orders data for March is due at 10:00 am ET Monday. Economists forecast an increase of 2.0 percent in March, up from 0.2 percent gain in February.
Ahead of the data, the greenback held steady against its major rivals.
The greenback was quoted at 1.1164 against the euro, 0.9324 against the franc, 1.5118 against the pound and 120.19 against the yen as of 9:55 am ET.
