At 4:30 am ET Friday, the Office for National Statistics releases U.K. GDP data for the third quarter. The statistical office is expected to confirm 0.5 percent sequential growth for the third quarter.
Ahead of the data, the pound fell against its major rivals.
As of 4:25 am ET, the pound was trading at 0.7043 against the euro, 1.5435 against the Swiss franc, 1.5059 against the U.S. dollar and 184.39 against the yen.
