At 4:30 am ET Tuesday, the British Bankers' Association is set to publish U.K. mortgage approvals figures for June. The number of mortgage approvals is seen falling to 39,650 in June from 42,187 in May.
Ahead of the data, the pound fell against its major rivals.
As of 4:25 am ET, the pound was trading at 0.8409 against the euro, 1.2892 against the Swiss franc, 1.3083 against the U.S. dollar and 136.31 against the yen.
