The Australian dollar strengthened against the other major currencies in the Asian session on Friday.
The Australian dollar rose to a 3-week high of 0.7659 against the U.S. dollar, from yesterday's closing value of 0.7627.
Against the yen and the Canadian dollar, the aussie advanced to a 4-day high of 77.51 and a 2-day high of 0.9977 from yesterday's closing quotes of 77.18 and 0.9927, respectively.
Against the euro and the NZ dollar, the aussie climbed to 9-day highs of 1.4537 and 1.0655 from yesterday's closing quotes of 1.4584 and 1.0629, respectively.
If the aussie extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 0.78 against the greenback, 80.00 against the yen, 1.00 against the loonie, 1.44 against the euro and 1.07 against the kiwi.
