Japan housing starts and construction orders data for July were released at 1:00 am ET Wednesday.
After the data, the yen changed little against its major rivals.
As of 1:01 am ET, the yen was trading at 114.89 against the euro, 134.96 against the pound, 104.81 against the Swiss franc and 102.96 against the U.S. dollar.
