Asian markets were trading marginally higher on the last working day of the week. Important to note that South Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese and Hong Kong’s markets are closed for holidays. Gold and silver exhibit range bound movements ahead of next week’s FOMC meetings. Gold was trading around $1,315 and silver was trading around $18.95 levels.  

Japan’s Nikkei 225 was trading 0.39 percent higher at 16,468.42 points.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng was trading 0.55 percent higher at 23,323.24 points.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 was trading 1.18 percent higher at 5,301.10 points.

Yesterday the Swiss National Bank and the Bank of England held interest rates steady.
