Thailand's consumer prices increased at a faster pace in December, data from the Ministry of Commerce showed Wednesday.
Inflation rose to 1.13 percent from 0.6 percent in November. The rate was expected to climb to 0.96 percent.
Month-on-month, consumer prices gained 0.13 percent in contrast to November's 0.06 percent fall.
Core inflation that excludes prices of volatile food and energy, came in at 0.74 percent versus 0.72 percent in November. Inflation was forecast to rise to 0.78 percent in December.
