An indicator signaling turning points in the Indian economy increased for the third successive month in February, the Conference Board said Wednesday.

The leading index rose 1.3 percent month-over-month in February, following a revised 1.0 percent gain in the prior month.

Out of the eight components, five contributed positively to the headline index in February.

The coincident index that reflects the current economic situation climbed 1.0 percent in February, but slower than the 1.8 percent rise in January. The measure increased for a second straight month.
