Taiwan central bank left its key interest rate unchanged on Thursday, as expected, for a third straight session.
The central bank kept the discount rate at 1.375 percent.
Growth remains modest while inflation remains contained, suggesting that there is hardly any reason for a change in the monetary policy stance in the near term.
The Directorate General of Budget, Accounting & Statistics has forecast 1.92 percent growth for this year versus 1.50 percent expansion in 2016.
