Spain's inflation slowed more than forecast in March, flash data from the statistical office INE showed Thursday.
Consumer price inflation eased to a 3-month low of 2.3 percent in March from 3 percent in February. Economists had forecast the rate to fall to 2.6 percent.
Likewise, EU harmonized inflation came in at 2.1 percent, slower than the 3 percent in February and the expected 2.7 percent.
Month-on-month, consumer prices remained flat, while prices were forecast to gain 0.2 percent.
At the same time, the harmonized index of consumer prices climbed 1.1 percent, but slower than the 1.5 percent increase economists had forecast.
