Taiwan's unemployment rate decreased in April after rising marginally in the previous month, data from the Directorate General of Budget Accounting and Statistics, or DGBAS, showed Monday.
The seasonally adjusted jobless rate dropped to 3.78 percent in April from 3.84 percent in March.
The number of unemployed people fell to 446,000 in April from 452,000 in the prior month. A year ago, the jobless figure totaled 465,000.
The labor force participation rate came in at 58.82 percent in April, up slightly from 58.81 percent in March.
On an unadjusted basis, the unemployment rate decreased to 3.67 percent in April from 3.78 percent a month earlier.
