House prices in Australia were up 2.2 percent on quarter in the first three months of 2017, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said on Tuesday.
That was in line with expectations and down from 4.1 percent in the previous three months.
On a yearly basis, house prices jumped 10.2 percent - beating forecasts for 8.9 percent and up from 7.7 percent in the three months prior.
The total value of residential dwellings in Australia was A$6.602 trillion at the end of the first quarter, rising A$163.122 billion over the quarter.
