Taiwan's unemployment rate decreased marginally in June, in line with expectations, data from the Directorate General of Budget Accounting and Statistics, or DGBAS, showed Monday.

The seasonally adjusted jobless rate edged down to 3.78 percent in June from 3.79 percent in May. The figure also matched consensus estimate.

The number of unemployed people fell to 445,000 in June from 446,000 in the previous month.

The labor force participation rate came in at 58.81 percent in June, down from 58.82 percent in May.

On an unadjusted basis, the unemployment rate rose to 3.74 percent in June from 3.66 percent in the preceding month.
