Following the release of Canada retail sales for June at 8:30 am ET Tuesday, the loonie advanced against its major rivals.
The loonie was trading at 1.2550 against the greenback, 87.22 against the yen, 0.9926 against the aussie and 1.4763 against the euro around 8:32 am ET.
