The U.S. dollar strengthened against other major currencies in the Asian session on Tuesday.
The U.S. dollar rose to a 1-week high of 109.58 against the yen and a 4-day high of 1.3161 against the pound, from early lows of 109.24 and 1.3182, respectively.
Against the euro and the Swiss franc, the greenback advanced to 5-day highs of 1.1945 and 0.9573 from early lows of 1.1964 and 0.9544, respectively.
If the greenback extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 111.00 against the yen, 1.30 against the pound, 1.18 against the euro and 0.96 against the franc.
