The Producer Price Index of the Bureau of Labor Statistics for August will be published at 8.30 am ET Wednesday. The economists are looking for growth consensus of 0.3 percent, while it declined 0.1 percent in the prior month.
Ahead of the data, the greenback held steady against its major rivals.
The greenback was worth 1.1980 against the euro, 110.02 against the yen, 0.9592 against the franc and 1.3281 against the pound as of 8:25 am ET.
