The U.S. weekly jobless claims for the week ended September 9 and CPI data for August are due at 8:30 am ET Thursday. Ahead of these data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While the greenback held steady against the franc and the euro, it fell against the pound. Against the yen, the currency rose.
The greenback was worth 110.70 against the yen, 0.9660 against the franc, 1.3340 against the pound and 1.1894 against the euro as of 8:25 am ET.
