Portugal's producer price inflation accelerated in August after easing in the previous four months, figures from Statistics Portugal showed Monday.
Industrial producer prices climbed 2.5 percent year-over-year in August, faster than the 2.2 percent increase in July. The measure has been rising since December 2016.
Excluding the energy grouping, the index rose at a steady rate of 1.2 percent annually in August.
Month-on-month, producer prices edged up 0.1 percent from July, when it dropped by 0.2 percent. It was the first increase in seven months.
