The National Association of Home Builders' Housing Market Index for September will be released at 10.00 am ET Monday. The economists are looking for consensus of 65, compared to 68 in the previous month.
Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While the currency rose against the yen, it held steady against the rest of major counterparts.
The greenback was worth 1.1956 against the euro, 111.53 against the yen, 0.9596 against the franc and 1.3563 against the pound as of 9:55 am ET.
