Economic confidence from Germany is due on Tuesday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 4.00 am ET, the European Central Bank is scheduled to issue euro area current account data for July. The current account surplus totaled a seasonally adjusted EUR 21.2 billion in June.

In the meantime, Italy' current account data is due from the central bank.

At 5.00 am ET, Germany's ZEW economic confidence survey data for September is due. Economists forecast the current situation index to fall to 86.3 in September from 86.7 in August. The economic confidence index is seen at 14 versus 10 in the previous month.

Also, Eurostat is set to issue euro area construction output for July. Output had fallen 0.5 percent on month in June.

At 8.00 am ET, Hungary's central bank announces its interest rate decision. The bank is widely expected to keep its key rate unchanged at 0.90 percent.

In the meantime, industrial production and producer prices are due from Poland. Economists forecast industrial production to rise 3.2 percent on month in August, reversing an 8.5 percent drop in July.

Producer prices are forecast to rise 2.9 percent annually in August, faster than the 2.2 percent increase seen in the previous month.
