The euro strengthened against other major currencies in the Asian session on Tuesday.
The euro rose to nearly a 2-year high of 133.76 against the yen, a 5-day high of 1.1509 against the Swiss franc and a 4-day high of 1.1975 against the U.S. dollar, from yesterday's closing quotes of 133.31, 1.1489 and 1.1949, respectively.
Against the pound, the euro advanced to 0.8858 from an early low of 0.8845.
If the euro extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 135.00 against the yen, 1.16 against the franc, 1.21 against the greenback and 0.90 against the pound.
