The New Zealand dollar strengthened against other major currencies in the Asian session on Tuesday.
The NZ dollar rose to 81.56 against the yen, from yesterday's closing value of 81.00.
Against the U.S. and the Australian dollars, the kiwi advanced to 0.7291 and 1.0943 from yesterday's closing quotes of 0.7260 and 1.0954, respectively.
The kiwi edged up to 1.6433 against the euro, from an early 4-day low of 1.6476.
If the kiwi extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 83.00 against the yen, 0.74 against the greenback, 1.08 against the aussie and 1.60 against the euro.
