New Zealand's consumer confidence weakened slightly in the three months ended September, survey data from Westpac showed Tuesday.
The Westpac McDermott Miller Consumer Confidence Index dropped to 112.4 in the third quarter from 113.4 in the June quarter.
The slight fall in confidence in the September quarter was mainly due a little less optimism about the economic outlook over the next year, reflecting concerns about the continuing slowdown in the housing market.
