Eurostat has released euro area flash inflation figures at 5.00 am ET Friday. The euro traded mixed against its major rivals after the data. While the euro changed little against the pound, it fell slightly against the rest of major currencies.
The euro was trading at 132.65 against the yen, 1.1449 against the franc, 0.8816 against the pound and 1.1790 against the greenback around 5:02 am ET.
