Sweden's manufacturing activity expanded at the fastest pace in six months in September, survey results from Swedbank and the logistics association SLIF showed Monday.
The Purchasing Managers' Index, or PMI, climbed to 63.7 in September from 54.7 in August. A score above 50 indicates expansion in the sector.
The acceleration in growth was mainly driven by production and new orders.
The share index for production increased by 14.4 index points to 67.9 in September, which was the highest score so far in 2017.
The index measuring new orders climbed to 65.3 in September from 53.9 in August. Similarly, the component index for employment rose from 55.9 to 61.1
