Brazil's Supreme Court (STF) has authorized the Federal Police to question the country's president in an inquiry that investigates corruption and money laundering allegations involving Michel Temer, his former aide Rodrigo Rocha Loures, and the executives of the service provider Rodrimar, as part of the a decree on ports.
The questioning was authorized by the Justice Lu?s Roberto Barroso, who allowed the President to indicate a date and place to be heard or to send his testimony in writing. Besides Temer, the Justice also authorized the hearing of eight people more and requested the entry records of these persons in the Planalto Palace this year.
Brazilian authorities suspected that the ports' decree signed by Temer was tailor-made to benefit Rodrimar.
