Portugal's consumer price inflation accelerated for the second straight month in September, though slightly, figures from Statistics Portugal showed Thursday.
The consumer price index rose 1.4 percent year-over-year in September, faster than the 1.1 percent increase in August.
Core inflation, which excludes energy and unprocessed food products, held steady at 1.3 percent.
Month-on-month, consumer prices went up 0.9 percent in September, after remaining flat in the prior month.
Inflation based on the Harmonized Index of Consumer prices increased at a faster pace of 1.6 percent annually in September, following a 1.3 percent climb in the preceding month.
