The U.S. producer prices for September and weekly jobless claims for the week ended October 7 are due at 8:30 am ET Thursday. Ahead of these reports, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While the greenback rose against the pound and the euro, it held steady against the franc and the yen.
The greenback was worth 112.28 against the yen, 0.9744 against the franc, 1.1854 against the euro and 1.3135 against the pound as of 8:25 am ET.
