At 4.30 am ET Thursday, the Office for National Statistics has released UK retail sales data for September.
After the data, the pound dropped further against its major rivals.
The pound was worth 1.3144 against the greenback, 148.13 against the yen, 1.2876 against the franc and 0.8960 against the euro around 4:31 am ET.
