At 8:30 am ET Monday, Statistics Canada will release Canada wholesale sales for August. The index is expected to rise 1.1 percent on month.
Ahead of the data, the loonie traded mixed against its major rivals. While the loonie rose against the euro, it dropped against the rest of major counterparts.
The loonie was worth 90.04 against the yen, 1.2644 against the greenback, 1.4840 against the euro and 0.9877 against the aussie as of 8:25 am ET.
