Following the release of German Ifo business confidence data for October at 4.00 am ET Wednesday, the euro rose against its major rivals.
The euro was trading at 1.1765 against the greenback, 134.02 against the yen, 1.1659 against the franc and 0.8965 against the pound around 4:01 am ET.
