Brazil's industrial production rose at a slower rate in September, amid lackluster growth in intermediate and consumer goods, preliminary data from the statistical office IBGE showed Wednesday.
Industrial production grew a non-seasonally adjusted 2.6 percent year-on-year after a 3.9 percent rise in August. Production has grown since May.
On a month-on-month basis, production grew 0.2 percent, recovering from a 0.7 percent slump in August.
During the third quarter, industrial production rose 3.1 percent from a year ago.
