South Africa's wholesale sales plunged in September, marking its sixth successive month of decline, preliminary figures from Statistics South Africa showed Thursday.
Wholesale sales dipped 10.1 percent year-over-year in September, much faster than the 2.2 percent drop in August.
On a monthly basis, wholesale trade fell 6.1 percent from August, when it decreased by 2.0 percent.
At current prices, wholesale sales slid 4.9 percent annually and by 2.6 percent monthly in September.
