Peru's national production in September recorded a 3.18% increase on an annual basis, accumulating 98 months of continuous growth, said the country's statistics office.

The advance was due to the positive evolution of the total exported (+17.66%), both traditional (+21.91%) and non-traditional products (+5.04%). Also, there was a recovery in domestic demand evidenced by the higher imports of non-durable consumer goods (+14.59%), retail sales (+1.95%) and consumer loans (+1.38%).

The growth of Peruvian national production in September was determined by higher exports of fish oil, copper, iron, gold, zinc, agricultural products, textiles, chemicals, and metalworking.
