The leading index for Malaysia, which measures the future economic activity, declined for the first time in three months in September, survey figures from the Department of Statistics showed Friday.
The leading index dropped to 119.9 in September from 120.2 in the previous month.
On an annual basis, the leading index increased at a stable pace of 2.6 percent in September.
The coincident index that reflects the current economic activity decreased to 130.6 in September from 131.3 in the preceding month.
