Economists surveyed by the Brazilian central bank kept their forecasts for economic growth in 2017 unchanged at 0.73% for the fifth week in a row. For 2018, the median estimate for GDP growth rose for the second week in a row, to 2.58% from 2.51% last week.
Projections for Brazil's debt-to-GDP ratio in 2017 decreased to 52.15%, from 52.30% last week, while for 2018 forecasts fell to 55.40%, from 55.71% last week.
Projections for the Brazilian industrial output growth in 2017 remained stable at 2.00%, while for 2018 the median forecast decreased to 2.90%, from 2.96%.
