Brazil's jobless rate eased for an eighth straight month to its lowest level in a year, preliminary data from the statistical office IBGE showed Friday.
The unemployment rate dropped to 12 percent in the three months to November from 12.2 percent in the quarter to October. Economists had predicted a figure of 12.1 percent.
The latest jobless rate was the lowest since November 2016, when it was 11.9 percent.
