At 3.15 am ET Friday, Swiss producer and import price figures are due for December. Prices had increased 1.8 percent year-on-year in November.
Ahead of the data, the franc advanced against its major rivals.
The franc was worth 0.9563 against the greenback, 115.79 against the yen, 1.1728 against the euro and 1.3307 against the pound as of 3:10 am ET.
