Statistics Canada has released Canada CPI data for December at 8:30 am ET Friday. After the data, the loonie dropped against its major rivals.
The loonie was trading at 88.63 against the yen, 0.9962 against the aussie, 1.5321 against the euro and 1.2309 against the greenback around 8:31 am ET.
