The Labor Department's Jobless Claims for the week has been issued at 8.30 am ET Thursday.
After the data, the greenback rose slightly against its major rivals.
The greenback was trading at 1.2286 against the euro, 107.06 against the yen, 0.9378 against the franc and 1.3898 against the pound around 8:32 am ET.
