Singapore's industrial production expanded strongly for the second straight month in February, preliminary figures from the Economic Development Board showed Monday.
Manufacturing output grew 8.9 percent year-over-year in February, but well below the 16.9 percent surge in January.
Excluding biomedical manufacturing, output advanced by 9.1 percent.
Most manufacturing clusters recorded output growth in February. The electronics cluster's output grew the most by 17.4 percent, followed by output of the biomedical manufacturing with 8.4 percent rise.
On a monthly basis, industrial production dropped a seasonally adjusted 0.5 percent from January, when it climbed by 4.7 percent.
