At 8:30 am ET Wednesday, U.S. GDP data for the fourth quarter has been released. After the data, the greenback rose against its major rivals.
The greenback was worth 106.28 against the yen, 0.9522 against the franc, 1.2389 against the euro and 1.4147 against the pound around 8:31 am ET.
