As expected, the European Central Bank maintained its main refi rate at a record low of zero percent and the deposit rate at -0.40 percent.
Following the decision, the euro changed little against its major rivals.
The euro was trading at 132.95 against the yen, 1.2179 against the greenback, 0.8723 against the pound and 1.1978 against the franc around 7:50 am ET.
