Industrial production and foreign trade figures from Germany are due on Friday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 2.00 am ET, Destatis is slated to publish Germany's industrial production and foreign trade figures for April. Industrial output is forecast to grow 0.3 percent on month, slower than the 1 percent increase seen in March.

Germany's foreign trade surplus is seen falling to EUR 20.2 billion in April from EUR 25.2 billion in March.

At 2.45 am ET, the French statistical office Insee publishes industrial production data. Economists forecast output to grow 0.3 percent month-on-month in April, in contrast to a 0.4 percent drop in March.

At 3.00 am ET, consumer prices and foreign trade reports from Hungary are due. Inflation is seen rising to 2.6 percent in May from 2.3 percent in April.

At 3.30 am ET, Sweden's budget balance data is due. The surplus totaled SEK 2.8 billion in April.

At 5.00 am ET, Greece consumer price data is due for May. Consumer prices remained flat in April after falling 0.2 percent in March.
